Barney Martin started his career as a writer but came in front of the camera in The Producers after Mel Brooks decided to cast him. He went to act in many other movies, the most popular of which was Seinfeld where he played Seinfeld’s father. At the age of 82, Barney’s battle with lung cancer ended with his death in 2005.
