60s Photos That’ll Hit You With Nostalgia

Burst Of Joy From 1973

During the devastating two decades, when the Vietnam War was active, over 58K US soldiers lost their lives. Our military men who sacrificed their lives never got the chance to reunite with their families. However, Lieutenant Colonel Robert L. Stirm made it back alive from Vietnam in 1973.

The photo above, which was named as ‘Burst of Joy‘ by the photographer (Slava Veder), quickly became famous. You can see that an excited family, especially the children, rushing to hug their father, so full of emotions. Stirm’s children were seeing their father after over five years. What a precious capture!
