For most of Alex Trebek’s 80-year long life, he has worked in television, mostly hosting game shows. If we were to pick one of his most popular shows, it’s going to be Jeopardy!, a quiz game show that he has hosted since 1984.
Trebek’s career beginnings involve Canadian shows like Music Hop and Strategy, although he did not come under the spotlight until his relocation to the US. Somehow, it has all paid off as his contract for Jeopardy! will run until 2022, allowing him to make many more millions. That’s right—Trebek makes more than a million dollars every month ($18 million a year).
