El nombre de nuestra protagonista es Lilian Richards y tenía unos 28 años cuando sucedió la historia que vamos a leer juntos. Sin embargo, esta historia realmente comienza más de 20 años antes, cuando Lilian cuando tenía 5 años se le ocurrió que quería un perro como regalo de sus padres. Soñaba con tener un perro grande y hermoso que fuera su mejor amigo, y comenzó cuando era una niña inocente.
