Roxanne Pallett’s New Status Could Cost Her A Whole Lot Of Money

One can easily conclude that when Roxanne Pallett entered into the Celebrity Big Brother House, it would have been out of her imagination that she would exit the house barely two weeks into the show and become a celebrity that most people in Britain no longer like.

Entering the house, 35-year-old Pallett looked like she was prepared to increase her profile further after she had a couple of quiet months off the movie industry and standing a chance to get a huge fee that reportedly comes in at about £750,000 for being a part of the reality show as well as lots of potential Instagram endorsements and other media opportunities.

However, following the time when she made accusations that Ryan Thomas punched her when they had a play fight and also called him a woman beater which made Thomas get an official warning, she has steered the opportunity off the course into becoming a PR failure.  After that ‘punch’ row she had to quit the show, and she has been a subject of condemnation by viewers and celebrities alike for the lies she told and how it seemed like she was mocking those who were actual victims of domestic abuse.

Public Reaction

After she exited the house, she got more social media blows, and one of her past friends even went viral on the Twitter app as she revealed that Pallett bullied her so much that she had to change schools. Also, Sam Attwater revealed that Pallett has also made false accusations against him for hitting her as well.

Pallett has been trying to keep things in check as she has been granting interviews, but those might not be enough to remedy the situation. Considering the fact that she left the show of her own will, the chances are slim that she will get the $750,000 fee reportedly offered by Channel 5. However, the damages, both reputational and financial may not be limited to just that.

Mischa Joslin, a PR expert who is also the managing director of EdenCancan talked about what she would likely lose as a result of this bad publicity.

About A Yearly Sum of £78k from Possible Instagram Deals

Mischa noted that the show would have been a good opportunity for Pallett to get the public to pay positive attention to her again and it was an opportunity for her to get several brand endorsements. According to Joslin, she imagined before the show that after it, Pallett’s charges was probably about £750 for each branded post she makes on her Instagram page.

If she had turned out successful on the show, that would have boosted not only her followers but also her reputation and doubling the previous fee would have been easier. That simply means if she was doing just one branded Instagram post per week, she could have gotten £78k yearly only from posts on social media. However, after she was trolled by viewers who were furious, Pallett had to delete her accounts across different social media platforms, and she can no longer make that money from her social media accounts.

Fashion Brands Will Likely Not Be Interested In Working With Pallett

If she has been seen in the Big Brother House as a sweetheart, a lot of fashion brands would have found her very attractive and be willing to make her their brand ambassador. Joslin said with her amazing looks, and it would have been easy for her to land fashion campaigns. However, Pallett’s reputation is at stake.

While Thomas’ career would likely soar when he leaves the house as he got support from his ex-colleagues and a lot of fans, Pallett’s image, on the other hand, has been badly affected. Joslin said it’s impossible to think there is a brand that will be willing to put their reputation at risk by associating with her. If she had gotten the endorsements, she would have been paid between £5k to £25k, and that would amount to £100,000 yearly if she took up 3 or 4.
