Al Roker – 100 Lbs
Transformational stories like Al Roker’s weight loss journey transcends time, inspiring people across generations to set goals and achieve them no matter what. While growing up in a middle-class family, Al’s meals were mostly rich in carbs and years of not feeling worthy and loving food accumulated on his body as pounds. In 2002, the ‘NBC’ journalist finally underwent surgery to lose over 100 pounds.
Still, it was not until Al embraced small lifestyle changes like portion control, regular exercise, and avoiding sugar a decade later that he finally achieved sustainable health. In 2013, he even published a book on his path to a fitter and happier life named ‘Never Goin’ Back: Winning the Weight Loss Battle for Good.’
