Kim Basinger – Then
Born in Athens, Georgia, as Kimila Ann Basinger, Kim’s confidence started to bloom during high school. She was a shy flower who shocked everyone by joining a pageant and impressing the audience with her rendition of Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, eventually winning the competition.
That year, she was signed by the Ford Modeling Agency, prompting her to move to New York in 1971. Despite earning $1,000 a day, the stunner really wanted to act, so by 1976, she studied the craft at Neighbourhood Playhouse, and within a few weeks, she landed a role in Starsky and Hutch.
