Emilia Clarke’s Net Worth Certainly Soared Thanks to ‘Game of Thrones’

“Game of Thrones” has officially ended but that doesn’t mean it has sunk in. Sunday nights won’t be the same anymore but apart from avid fans who will miss the show so much, the actors who portrayed the characters will probably have a hard time dealing with the conclusion of the hit series too.

However, they may find comfort in the salaries they went home with, which are reportedly huge, and judging by the tremendous success of the HBO project, it’s no wonder that the cast members’ net worth soared.

One of the characters that probably got one of the fattest checks is Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, the ever-so-brave Mother of Dragons. The actress is one of the original cast members since the “Game of Thrones’” inception in 2011.

She had gone through a lot of things in the eight years that she dedicated to helping bring her character to fruition with utmost efficacy but that doesn’t mean things went smoothly – she had two brain surgeries after suffering from aneurysms.

But, despite these road bumps, it is safe to say that she is now more successful in her career than ever before, which makes you wonder, what’s her estimated net worth?

According to reports, Emilia’s estimated net worth is $13 million. Plain as the day she received huge sums from her “Game of Thrones” work, although it is not clear how much she earned from seasons 1 to 4. What was known was that the 32-year-old and her other co-stars negotiated their way to making $300,000 per episode for seasons 5 and 6, an impressive feat indeed. Both seasons had 10 episodes, which means she raked in $6 million.

Impressive Negotiations

While the success was certainly building up in the mentioned seasons, Emilia wisely negotiated again for the seventh and final season of “Game of Thrones,” and if rumors were right, she got $1.1 million per episode.

As for the serious pay increase, the star said she made sure she was getting as much as her guy friends. Doing the math, there are seven and six episodes in seasons 7 and 8 respectively, so she got $14.3 million.

In season 5 and 6, Emilia reportedly earned $300,000 per episode.

Unlike her “Game of Thrones” co-stars Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams who were catapulted to stardom because of the show, Emilia’s acting debut was around 2009. That means her fortune solely didn’t come from the George RR. Martin book-adaptation. She had appeared in previous projects before we all came to love her as Daenerys.

The star also starred in films like “Me Before You.”

She appeared in 2010’s “Triassic Attack,” after which, Emilia went on to have 12 more films. Although it wasn’t revealed how much she got from the movies, ticket sales would let you take a guess: “Solo: A Star Wars Story” garnered $393 million sales while “Me Before You” grossed $208 million. She also reportedly received at least $6 million for “Terminator,” which was more than Arnold Schwarzenegger’s pay.

Add to the sum her TV credits, like voice acting for “Futurama” and “Robot Chicken.” Emilia also became the face of Dolce & Gabbana and centered in a Christian Dior jewelry campaign.
